Feeling Christmasy and avoiding shopping

So I was just about to go out shopping, when a ring on the bell and the Mr Delivery man has battled through the snow with my first box of books! Very exciting, so I decided to get festive and creative, before I put the tree up and instead put the christmas lights to good use.  Then I can then curl up with the books and put the CD on and be transported to a New Orleans Christmas.
Watch this space for more pictures and reviews...but must go shopping first!

The items in this photo are:
Fireside Stories
Winter Shadow - which incidentally is one of Barefoot's growing range of chapter book, yes Barefoot doesn't just do picture books.
New Orleans Christmas ( CD)- click on the link to listen to a sample too.

Kid's Garden has just won a Tillywig Toy Award ( no I hadn't heard of Tillywig either)
Neither the less it is another award winning product for Barefoot Books
Kid's Garden is lovely box of cards featuring activities in the garden regardless if you have a huge garden or a small window box. Even better it in the summer sale at the moment ( until end of July).

Barefoot Conference and going barefoot

I have just checked the latest Barefoot newsletter to find my quote from this years Barefoot Conference in UK has been included, after the relief of finding it was not the video message we all had to record I thought I would share it with you-

"It was a wonderful few days so lovely to meet so many people, really inspiring and great goodies bags! All at Barefoot were so welcoming and worked so hard. Can't wait till next year!"

So that is what you missed, there was also an amazing storyteller, artists and authors in attendance.
If you fancy joining us and going 'Barefoot' too I am looking for team members. You can set up your own home based business with advice and support from myself as well as the lovely Barefoot community of fellow ambassadors and Barefoot staff, who have excellent customer service! You can work your own hours and focus online selling, selling in person or a bit of both and for as many hours as you want. Plus you get between 20% and 50% off retail prices when buying the books in bulk (depends on size of order). So you could just become an ambassador in order to buy books for yourself and the children in your life at a cheaper price.

If this has whet your appetite please check out my website for more details and also contact me directly to chat about opportunities and find out more. There is absolutely no obligation but I would love to chat, by the way you do not need to be local to be in my team or even in the UK as online tools and phone make it very easy to work in a team across the country, I am also happy to travel every so often in order to chat in person of course and make a trip of it!

Motherbridge of Love

Motherbridge of Love
This beautiful book deal sensitively with adoption. Based on an anonymous poem the story is about the relationship between a young girl and her adoptive and birth mothers. Highly recommend and I believe this book should be available in every school for children, carers and teachers to read.
